Diode Laser (Depilight Plus)

Achieve smooth, beautiful skin with Depilight Plus hair removal. Only Depilight Plus technology can offer Superior results with the highest level of Comfort & safety.
Unwanted hair is a common problem in women and men. It can be a nuisance…or even a nightmare.
Until recently, removing it was uncomfortable, inconvenient, expensive and time-consuming. But that has all changed. Today, with Depilight Plus the remarkable advances in laser technology, unwanted hair is being removed safely and affordably.

Why use the Diode over other hair removal systems?

  • Compared to most lasers (ruby, alexandrite), Diode Laser has a longer wavelength for deeper skin penetration and safer for darker skin.
  • Works well with dark (black and brown) hair.
  • Very Fast treatment for larger body areas (Ex: full legs in 15 min).
  • Has a long pulse width adjustable depending on skin type.
  • Exclusive pulsing mode for treating villous hair (thin).

How does the diode laser system remove hair?

Hair follicles contain a natural chromophore, known as melanin. (A chromophore is a molecule capable of absorbing light).
When a chromophore absorbs laser light, it is transformed into heat, raising temperature and destroying the follicle.

Is it safe? Does it hurt?

The laser is pulsed for only a fraction of a second and the duration of each pulse is just enough to disable the hair follicles, as well, the cooling system was designed to protect the skin by cooling it before, during and after the laser light is transmitted and allows areas to be treated with less pain.
The biggest advantage of diode laser hair removal is that there aren't any side effects you will experience.

How many treatments will I need?

Hair grows in three distinct cycles. First, the active or growth cycle (Anagen); next, the dormant cycle (Catagen) and, finally, the fall-out cycle (Telogen).
During the active phase, Laser Hair Removal is most effective; The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser light, damages the follicle and destroys its ability to re-grow.
Since all hair can never be in the active phase at the same time, several treatment sessions are required in order to coincide with the active phases.

Why Depilight Plus?

Cavitation Technology

Cavitation technology is used to contour, reshape and firm your body from areas where diet and exercise alone have not been able to do so...

What is the Cavitation?

Cavitation is a natural phenomenon based on low frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound field creates the bubbles in the liquid, which gradually grow and implode at certain size.
The energy in the form of heat and pressure wave is released.
As the membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations, the effect of cavitation easily breaks them, while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue.

What are the effects?

After disruption of adipose cells, the fat in the form of triglycerides is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatically metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids.
Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food.

What are the main indications?

Cavitation is primarily used for localized fat reduction, cellulite mild overweight.

Is it applicable to any body part?

Thighs (saddle bags), Abdomen (love handles), Hips (flanks), Buttock, Upper arm, Chest (for a man) i.e. the areas of localized fat. However it cannot be applied to the head, neck, chest (For a woman), back and over bony areas.

Is it an invasive and painful treatment?

Cavitation is comfortable, painless and non-invasive procedure with virtually no side effects. It does not require anesthesia, leaves no scars. The ultrasound energy is designed to target fatty tissues beneath the skin only and does not affect the blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues.

How long is a treatment?

Treatment time may vary depending on the area being treated but a typical session will last between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes the preparation, treatment and post treatment procedures.
Sessions required are Between 8 -12 treatments. However you should begin to see significant ‘results’ from the third session onwards, although from the first session the perimeter of the treated areas have decreased.
The body takes about 72 hours to eliminate the fat from each session therefore we recommend an interval of 1 week between treatment sessions.

What Guidelines should I follow pre-treatment and, post treatment?

Drink plenty of water. Drinking water is a necessary part of the treatment to facilitate the elimination of the broken down fat. Maintain a low calorie diet for a few days after the treatment with aerobic physical exercise to ensure that the energy released by the treatment is properly utilized and metabolized by the body. After the treatment patients are able to return to their daily activities as usual.

What are the complementary technical and physical agents suggested?

You can complement with therapeutic physical agents for the treatment of flaccidity skin and mitigating associated Cellulitis. Therefore it is suggested to supplement with any of the following alternatives: Vacuum - Dermo - Mobilization, Electroporation, RF, lymphatic drainage sequential pressotherapy and electrostimulation.

What are the ‘contraindications’ with Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Ultrasonic cavitation treatment is not for everybody. Even though it is a safe and painless procedure, nevertheless there are contraindications for using cavitation devices. Thus people with kidney failure, liver failure, heart disease, carrying a pacemaker, pregnancy, lactation, etc. are not suitable candidates for the cavitation treatment.

Are there any side effects with this treatment?

There are virtually no side effects. However on rare occasions there may be a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst, or nausea immediately after the treatment which is invariably resolved by drinking water. These are all short-term effects that disappear in few hours.

Cryolypolisis Technology (Cool Shaping)

What is Cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis is the non-invasive cooling of adipose tissue to induce lipolysis (breaking down fat cells) without damage to other tissues. The result over two to four months is a noticeable, natural-looking reduction in fat.

What happens to the fat cells?

After the procedure, exposure to cooling causes fat cell apoptosis, which leads to the release of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators.
Inflammatory cells gradually digest the affected fat cells in the months after the procedure.
Lipids from the fat cells are slowly released and transported by the lymphatic system to be processed, much like fat from food. Because the lipid clearance process is gradual there is no harmful change in blood lipids or liver function.

How cold is "cold?"

Lipids in fat cells crystallize at warmer temperatures than other water-containing cells. This is how Cryolipolysis targets only fat cells for destruction and spares other tissue such as skin, muscle, and nerves. The Cool Shaping® system controls the rate of energy extraction or cooling during the procedure.

How the cooling is delivered to the fat layer?

The Cool Shaping system includes a selection of non-invasive, tissue-cooling applicators controlled by a precisely engineered monitoring system.
To perform the Cryolipolysis Procedure, the physician attaches an applicator to the targeted procedure area to extract energy (cooling) from the underlying fat tissue. The specially designed vacuum applicator draws tissue into the applicator cup and gently holds it between two cooling panels, extracting heat according to the selected procedure profile.
Sensors embedded in the applicator monitor the skin during the procedure to ensure a consistent and uniform procedure. The sensors are linked to the control console to continuously monitor and adjust cooling throughout the Cryolipolysis Procedure and provide continuous feedback to the physician.

What are the results?

Clinical studies demonstrate that the Cryolipolysis Procedure provides noticeable, measurable fat reduction in properly selected patients over the course of two to four months after the procedure (3),(4). Additional procedures may be administered two to four months after the initial procedure to achieve greater fat reduction.

How long do the results last?

Patients experiencing fat layer reduction show persistent results at least six months after the Cool Shaping treatment.
Longer-term studies have not yet been completed. It is known that the exposure to cooling causes the fat cells to begin a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The fat cells in the treated area are gently eliminated through the body's normal metabolism process, like fat from food.
The elimination of fat cells as a result of the Cryolipolysis Procedure is expected to last about as long as fat cells removed by invasive procedures such as liposuction.

How do the results compare with invasive procedures such as liposuction?

The results of the Cryolipolysis Procedure are not as rapid or dramatic as invasive procedures such as liposuction. However, for patients who wish to avoid the pain, risk and recovery time associated with surgical procedures, the Cryolipolysis Procedure may be the preferred option.

What are common effects after the procedure?

The Cool Shaping Procedure is completely non-invasive, which allows immediate return to normal activities such as work or exercise. Redness may appear in the treated area, and may last from few minutes to few hours. Some localized bruising or swelling may occur, which clears within a few weeks. Many patients experience a temporary dulling of sensation in the treated area, lasting one to eight weeks.

Which patients are the best candidates?

Ideal candidates for the Cryolipolysis Procedure are relatively fit, but have some modest-size fat bulges that are not easily reduced through diet and exercise. They are seeking spot reduction for specific areas of fat, but are not considering a surgical procedure. The Cryolipolysis Procedure is not intended for weight loss or obesity, and it is not a substitute for invasive methods such as liposuction.

How is the Cryolipolysis Procedure different from other procedures?

The controlled cooling of the Cryolipolysis Procedure targets and eliminates only fat cells. Other treatment modalities, such as lasers, radiofrequency and focused ultrasound, affect fat cells and may affect other adjacent tissue in a way that is not comparable to the Cool Shaping method.

Is the Cryolipolysis Procedure recommended for cellulite?

Well-controlled studies to determine whether the fat-reducing effects of the Cryolipolysis Procedure will result in the improved appearance of cellulite have not been completed. We do not recommend the Cryolipolysis Procedure using the current applicators for cellulite at this time.

Micro-needle Fractional RF Technology (Secret)

Are there any precautions after treatment?

Avoid cleansing until after the erythema has resolved itself.. Cleanse your skin with cool water and dab or pat lightly with a towel. Avoid hot water. A suncream should be applied every day to protect your skin and you should limit sun exposure during the treatment course.

What is the recommended treatment interval, and total number of sessions required?

The typical interval between sessions is once every 3 weeks. Most patients see excellent results following 4-5 treatments. This may vary according to your skin condition and your physician will be better able to assess and advise you of this.

How long does it take to recover after treatment?

You may experience transient erythema on the treated areas for 3-4 hours initially. Occasionally, a fine scab will be formed by the skin - do not be concerned, this promotes the healing process.

Is the treatment painful?

With the correct application of topical anesthesia, it is virtually painless. It is also possible to treat to a 1mm depth without topical anesthesia.

How long does a single treatment take?

The topical anesthetic cream requires 20 to 30 minutes to take effect prior to treatment, and then the treatment takes 20 to 30 minutes, including aftercare. So, each session requires approx. 1 hour.

Thermocoagulation for Spider Vein (Thermavein)

How does the treatment work?

The treatment is an incredibly simple and accurate process. ThermaVein delivers a tiny microwave current for under 0.2 second at a time, this current travels a maximum of 1.5mm into the treatment area. By comparison this is a similar size to the head of a pin or a grain of sand. The technique causes the vein to close and then the current causes it to instantly disappear.

Is it painful for the client?

We are unable to classify our treatment as pain-free as different individuals have varying tolerance levels.
We are regularly told from patients that they hardly feel a thing to the extent that many are unsure when the treatment has started. It has been likened to a pinching sensation or having a hair plucked. This compares favourably to other treatment methods which can be very painful and also damaging to the patient.
Any sensation felt by the client during treatment will subside as soon as treatment stops. We are well aware that many alternative treatments can leave patients in substantial discomfort for prolonged periods of time.

Who can I not treat?

We would strongly advise against treating anybody who is aware they are pregnant. In addition we also advise to avoid treating patients who have epilepsy, due to head contact rather than the treatment. In addition anyone who has recently applied false tan. This point doesn’t apply to sunbeds or people who have been in the sun.

How long does a treatment take?

A typical treatment should take no more than 15 minutes, immediately after this time the patient will see a significant improvement in their condition if not a total eradication.

How many treatments will a typical client require?

We have found many clients can be treated in just one session, depending on the extent of their condition. It would be unusual for a client to require more than 3 sessions as the treatment is very effective.

How long before client sees results?

Results are instant, the videos used on this website are 100% genuine and you can expect the same results from ThermaVein. The treatment is very visual and you will notice the veins disappear as they are touched with the pen. This leads to a real “Wow!” response the first time the client looks in a mirror. This is a stark contrast to alternative treatments which can take 6-8 weeks and many sessions.

Does the treatment cure the condition?

The treatment will remove visible signs of the condition and in many cases it will not recur. There are a wide range of underlying causes to the condition which may lead to new areas developing. If this happens a top up treatment will clear the condition. If there are concerns of recurrence we generally advise a review of the patient 8 weeks after the treatment if possible and a yearly review can stop any new areas developing.

Are there any known side effects?

Unlike with other treatments, such as Laser or IPL, there are no known side effects.
The patient suffers no bruising, scarring or similar and there is no downtime - many people go back to work or shopping immediately after treatment. In addition there is no requirement to avoid sunlight, as with other treatments, although we do recommend sun protector as general skin care advice.
Other treatments require patients to avoid the sun as the treatment burn and thin the skin making it very vulnerable to the sun. Our treatment doesn’t burn and is very accurate, most clients feel a little pinching sensation which we are informed is easily bared.

How long is the recovery period?

We appreciate that other treatments require up to 8 weeks recovery, during which time your actions can be severely restricted. As ThermaVein uses a very different technique there is no downtime at all, patients walk out of the treatment and back into their lives unaffected.
